IndiModa, a venture started by a mother-daughter duo, wanted to take Ayurveda-inspired beauty and Indian handicraft-inspired fashion to the world. However, their digital presence on Instagram and their website received consistent negative feedback that it looked unprofessional and informal. Despite working with several agencies, they struggled to elevate their brand's visual language to a professional level.
Manasi wanted the carefree and playful memories of her childhood in Goa reflected in our work. The bold presence of her youth living with her grandparents, and having an exciting social life, was integral to the brand. To bring out these aspects, our team of a stylist and a photographer worked together to come up with a cohesive colour scheme that was dynamic yet grounded. We combined the brand's earthy ingredients with pop backgrounds to achieve a balance that showcased their unique formulations and local Indian ingredients. We aimed to capture purpose-filled and engaging photos that reflected the brand's values.
Manasi, the daughter, wanted the brand identity to be fun and bold, inspired by the laidback, vibrant, and fun colours of Goa. However, they wanted us to infuse the spirit of Goa into the grounded and humble Ayurvedic approach. The challenge was to achieve a delicate balance between the two.

The result was a fun, engaging, and educational social media feed that showcased the brand's unique formulations and local Indian ingredients in a professional, bold and captivating format. The brand identity successfully combined the grounded approach of Ayurveda with the lively spirit of Goa, offering contemporary and performance-based products that appealed to an audience that valued hard work and leisure equally. We learned that a brand can offer traditional and contemporary elements, grounded in deep research and education while communicating it in an entertaining format that resonates with its audience.
